1. Accepting these terms
By installing or using AnkoKids - Drawing Tutor, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. In this document "we" and "us" mean Plycoder, the developer of the app, and "you" means the adult who installed it.
If you are downloading the app for a child, you are agreeing to these terms on their behalf as well as your own.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal and family use, for as long as you comply with these terms.
You may not:
- Sell, rent, sub-license or redistribute the app.
- Copy, reverse engineer, decompile or modify it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Remove or obscure any notice of ownership inside it.
- Extract the drawings, artwork, sounds or lesson data for use in another product.
Classroom and school use for teaching is permitted. Redistributing the app or its content to pupils as your own is not.
3. Use by a child
The app is designed for children of roughly four to nine years old, used with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. It contains a parent gate protecting the settings, and a break reminder you can configure.
The app is a drawing tutor, not a substitute for supervision. You remain responsible for how long and how often your child uses a screen.
4. Drawings and photos
Everything your child draws in the app belongs to your family. We claim no rights over it, and no copy of it ever reaches us. It is stored on your device, as described in the privacy policy.
The Photo to Drawing feature converts a picture you supply into a traceable drawing on the device. You are responsible for having the right to use any photograph you feed into it. Do not use photographs of other people without their permission, and do not use copyrighted artwork that you are not entitled to copy. The result is for your family's own use.
5. What belongs to us
The app, its source code, the lesson artwork, the mascot, the name AnkoKids, and the design of this website remain the property of Plycoder and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. The brand guidance published on our branding page describes how the name and mark may be presented when writing about the app; it is not permission to use them on your own product.
6. Purchases
The app is currently offered in full at no cost. It contains optional rewarded adverts, described in the privacy policy; nothing in the app is locked behind watching one, and they can be switched off in the parent area. If paid content is introduced later, every purchase will be handled by Google Play. Google's payment terms and refund policy would apply, and we would never receive or store your payment details.
No purchase will ever remove content that was free at the time you installed the app.
7. Availability and updates
The app runs offline and does not depend on any service of ours to keep working. We may release updates that add drawings, fix faults or improve how it behaves, and Google Play will deliver them according to your update settings.
We may change or withdraw features in a future version. Doing so will never reach back and disable a version already installed on your device.
8. Warranties
The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, fault free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim all implied warranties.
Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country, where those rights cannot be excluded by agreement.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for loss of profit arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which for the free version is nothing.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not permit that exclusion.
10. Ending this agreement
You may end it at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end it if you breach these terms, in which case you must stop using the app and remove it. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 11 survive the end of the agreement.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory protection available to you under the law of your country of residence.
